was created to use music to unite Windrush communitiesfrom Harrow and beyond. Their music of choice originally brought them together and helped them face daily challenges. This was a mix of the music messaging and how people were brought together to experience it.
Through our community research, we found some of the youths’ music is driving a wedge between generations. The journey from Lovers’ Rock, an original 2nd Generation Windrush community genre, through to today’s Grime & Drill is a 180 shift from Love to Aggression.
Broadcasting the Music of Unity
Uniting Windrush Communities Through Harmony
Our work will break down that wedge and return Windrush communities to overall unity. We will broadcast the music created from our work to bring people together.
